If you are looking for the easiest and tastiest comfort food meal, look no further. You have found it.
No, I’m serious. Let your slow cooker do the work. Then, just heat up some peas and make some mashed potatoes, and this one is on the table. This meal is a go-to on our busy church nights or gymnastics/tumbling nights or school event nights. It’s ready to eat as soon as we are, which makes my life so much easier.
If you need a good slow cooker, I recommend this one from Hamilton Beach. It’s what I have, and being able to set the timer ensures my food doesn’t overcook while I’m at work.
So listen up, busy momma. Here’s what you do. Put some pork chops in your slow cooker with a little salt and pepper for seasoning. Open that cream of mushroom soup can. (I use low sodium so I feel like I’m being a little healthier. All in moderation, right?) Turn the can upside down. That’s it.
Everything cooks while I’m at work – which is so amazing! The result is one of my husband’s favorite meals and very little effort when we finally get home from work and from chauffeuring our children around town.
Tip: throw together some make-ahead mashed potatoes over the weekend for an almost-effortless weeknight meal. Win!

Looks so delicious and easy! Would this work with chicken or turkey?
Hi, Nora! Yes, this would definitely work with chicken or turkey. Let me know if you try and what you think!
