Cheesy Pepperoni Pizza Bites Appetizer
Football season is upon us which only means one thing – it’s time to make appetizers! A crowd pleaser usually consists of something bite-sized, something with cheese, or something that can be dipped. Cheesy Pepperoni Pizza Bites check all of those boxes.

Our family watches a lot of football in the fall. Saturdays are college football days. Sundays are professional football days. Many times we have people to our house, or we go to someone else’s house. No matter where we are, there are two rules: we watch football, and we eat.
I made this recipe for our last get-together, and it was a hit. It was super quick and easy to make, too.
Start with the crescent roll dough. Cut the dough into 16 triangles and each string each in half. Spread pizza sauce on the dough, and then wrap two pepperonis and a piece of cheese in each of the triangles. Put each pizza bite on a greased baking sheet. (I used parchment paper to make clean up simple.)
Melt the butter, and mix in garlic powder and Italian seasoning. Brush the seasoned butter onto each pizza bite and sprinkle with parmesan.
Bake and serve with pizza sauce or ranch dressing (or both) for dipping. Now, go cheer loudly for your favorite team!
Ingredients
- 1 8oz can crescent roll dough
- 8 string cheese
- 32 pepperonis
- 1 jar pizza sauce
- 2 T butter
- 1 t garlic powder
- 1 T Italian seasoning
- 2-3 t shredded parmesan
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350F. Prepare baking sheet with cooking spray.
- Cut a crescent roll dough rectangle diagonally to create 4 triangles (instead of the two). This will make 16 total triangles. Lightly brush pizza sauce onto crescent roll dough. Cut string cheese in half to create 16 pieces
- Place two pepperonis and one half of a string cheese on each crescent roll dough triangle. Wrap the dough around the pepperonis and cheese.
- Melt butter in small dish, and mix in garlic powder and Italian seasoning. Brush onto each pizza bite. Sprinkle shredded parmesan on each piece.
- Bake at 350F for 12-15 minutes until bread is lightly browned and cheese is beginning to melt out of the sides of each bite.
- Serve warm with pizza sauce or ranch dressing for dipping.
